at H.J. Mcfarland Memorial Home, Picton
on Monday, March 27th, 2023

WILLIAM ‘BILL’ GEORGE REIS
In his 87th year

Beloved husband to Philomena and the late Beverly.
Loving father of Tracey, Debbie (late Don), Pamela (Joey), Bill Jr. (Maisie) and Jodi (Brad)
and loving step-father of Marian (Phil), Michael (Ruth), Lorraine (Dan) and Elaine (Dave).
Grandpa to 18 grandchildren and several great grandchildren.
Predeceased by his parents Gordon and Gertrude, his sister Marion Warren (late Harold)
and his brother Jack (Evelyn).

Bill was a man who had an undeniable energy to live life to its fullest.
As a young man, he met and won over Beverly with his love and laughter.
Together for 40+ years, they raised five children, passing on their love of life with family camping trips
and hunting and fishing adventures.

Picking up the pieces after Beverly’s death, Bill turned on the charm and won over the lovely Philomena.
Bill treasured the 20+ years they had together.  Philomena holds fond memories of family times together and fun trips to Florida.

Bill’s career with the OPP spanned 32 years and three communities.
He proudly served as a member of the OPP in Walkerton, Kitchener and Belleville.
The highlight of his career was as a member of the OPP Golden Helmets.

Retirement in 1989 did not slow him down, instead, he ran a fishing charter on Lake Ontario and shared his love for fishing and adventure with others.  Bill has touched many in his life and will always be remembered for the twinkle in his eyes and the warmth of his heart.
Put on your Golden Helmet Bill, it’s time to ride!
