Reverend Robert (Bob) C. Jones
Reverend of the Presbyterian Church of Canada in Nova Scotia (1967) and Picton and Deseronto, Ontario from (1967-2004)
After 99 days at the Westlake Nursing Home, Bob passed away peacefully on Sept 5th, 2024.
While there he received compassionate & loving care.
Beloved husband of 62.5 years to Marie (Bergelt)
Bob was the only son of the late Robert & Grace Jones (nee VanSlyke).
They loved their son dearly and were a huge part of his life.
Loving Dad to Susan (Bill Gray), Robert (Adele Patterson) and Rev. Anne-Marie Jones.
Cherished Grampa to Sara and Samuel. Brother-in-law to Sharon Bergelt (Travis).
Beloved Uncle to nieces Laurie Dawson, Debbie (Kurt) Bergelt-Kussman and Kathy (Ben) Baer.
Bob’s love for Jesus Christ, his infectious smile, his love, integrity and kindness will be missed by anyone who knew him.
He was a cornerstone to his loving wife Marie, children and grandchildren.
His wisdom, brilliance, fun nature, infectious smile and love will be forever missed by his family.
Cremation has taken place.
Funeral service will be held on Thursday September 12th, 2024
at the Church of the Redeemer, 156 St. George St. Deseronto, ON at 2:00 p.m.
Friends may visit with the family prior to the service starting at 1pm.
Rev. Anne-Marie Jones officiating.
