Jean Evelyn Squire
Passed away peacefully on January 16, 2023 in Kingston, Ontario.
Predeceased by the love of her life, Bruce. Loving mother to Rick (Janet), Jim and Catherine
and sister to Donna and Jack. Adoring grandmother to Jaden and Naomi.
Natives of Toronto, Jean and Bruce moved to Prince Edward County after retiring,
where Jean was a long-time volunteer with the
Wellington United Church Women. While Jean spent her professional life keeping other people’s books,
she loved to blow her own money - especially in a quilt shop. Her expertly crafted treasures
dorne the homes of many of her loved ones.
A lover of travel, good books, and good food, Jean visited many places in her life and was especially fond of visits to England
where many fun memories with her cousins Michael (Judith) and Jean (Brian) were had.
She never met a dessert she didn’t like and would like you too if you didn’t ask for a bite.
Cared for in her final years by her latest travel pal and niece, Jennifer, and the caring staff of Arbour Heights Long Term Care Home
in Kingston and the Eden Place Retirement Residence in Belleville.
Jean will be laid to rest at the Wellington Cemetery next to her sweetheart in a private ceremony.
Memorial donations to your local Alzheimer’s Society would be appreciated by the family.
