Donald Richard (Dick) MacArthur
passed away on December 26, 2022 in Wellington, Prince Edward County, Ontario
at the age of 82.
Dick was born in Gananoque on March 14, 1940.
Dick is survived by; children Craig and Darryl; stepchildren Stewart and Angela; grandchildren Jayda, Owen, Derek and Kristen;
and sisters Maxine, Mary Jane and Sue. Dick is preceded in death by his spouse Gail Collison.
During his life, he lived in many places throughout Ontario including Welland, Medonte Township and Coldwater.
He worked as a forest technician and always enjoyed the outdoors even after retiring.
He and Gail returned to Wellington to enjoy their golden years where Dick quickly became involved with the community
volunteering with Community Living and the Rotary Club. He was most proud of his dedication to Blood Services Canada
where his 181st blood donation was recently commemorated.
For fun you could find Dick cheering on his favourite hockey team, the Wellington Dukes.
Throughout all of life’s ups and downs Dick remained a positive gentleman,
all could count on to lend a helping hand. Rest in peace.
Friends are invited to attend a Graveside Service
at the Wellington Cemetery on Saturday, June 3rd, 2023 at 1:30 p.m.
A luncheon will immediately follow the service where friends are invited to visit with the family from 2-4 p.m.
in the hall at St. Andrew’s Anglican Church.
