Remembering Jamie

Many events and influences will mold and shape a young person into whom they become in adult life and the people that are part of those times should be thanked. We were very proud of the fine young man Jamie grew up to be. While he was parented by the best of our abilities, the members of the Ferguson and Scott families also helped teach Jamie love, compassion, and respect.

But when I think of Jamie’s sense of humour, I am sure it was developed around the dinner table, at both households. The fun and laughter that occurred during those times had to have made a mark on his sense of humour. I know those fun times continued at the Bedford household , as he always spoke of enjoying the campfires there.

Jamie’s years of learning included St. Gregory’s and PECI. Thank you to his teachers for the knowledge and guidance they provided and , for their patience, when going to school didn't always fit into Jamie’s plans.
After that, was a year of studying Heavy Equipment Operation at Fleming College in Lindsay.

Entering the workforce, Jamie spent time with Lavender Brothers and Prestige Construction companies. Thank you to those individuals who taught Jamie the tools of that trade. He was very proud of the projects he was part of during that time. Next came Lehigh Cement. Jamie enjoyed the work there and knew he wanted to make it a long-term commitment. Thanks to his coworkers and the staff there.

Jamie's sports included hockey, soccer, baseball, basketball, and track and field. Thank you to those coaches who taught him teamwork and fair play. Jamie loved music, especially The Glorious Sons. He dabbled at playing the guitar and I heard he could be quite a dancer at times.

Jamie’s recreational activities were hockey, dirt biking, 4 wheeling, snowmobiling and golf. Through all these activities Jamie established a lasting bond of friendship with whom he called “The Boys” …. a great bunch of guys whom he loved dearly. Thanks guys.

Jamie always had a great smile, but one day it became wider and brighter…. the day Sierra came into his life. She truly completed him. Along with his fur buddies Stella, Trigger and Ronnie, Jamie had hit his happiest moment. Thank you, Sierra.

So, there you have it. That’s how Jamie became a fine young man. So, whether it be on the ice , the field, the trails,
the golf course or at the dinner table, thank you Jamie …….. you made all of us , better people.

We love you!
