CRAIG CARSON
December 17, 1955 - September 4, 2024
It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Craig Carson,
a beloved husband, father, papa, mentor and friend.
Craig was born in Picton, Ontario and spent his entire life living and working
both on and from his family farm on Hwy 49.
Craig was the cherished son of Charles Elberne Carson and Evelyn Jean Carson (Morrow),
both of whom preceded him in death. He is survived by his devoted wife of 45 years, Marilyn Carson (Brown), whose love and companionship were the cornerstones of his life. Together, Craig and Marilyn built a beautiful family and a life filled with love, laughter, and unwavering support. Craig's legacy continues through his daughters, Pam (Adam) Borton and Paula (Gino) Leone, who were the pride and joy of his life. Their relationships with their father were marked by deep affection, mutual respect, and shared moments of joy.
Craig was also a doting Papa to Carson and Evan Borton; Giordano, Nico, and Amelia Leone, who will forever remember his
larger-than-life presence and the twinkle in his eye whenever he spent time with them.
Survived by brother John (Faith) Carson of Picton, sisters Brenda (Kevin) Whattam of Kingston; and Florence (Jerry) Lindsey of Wellington; brother-in-law of James (Barb) Brown of Stirling.
In his professional life, Craig was a man of varied interests and talents. He worked in seed sales, was an active member of the
Cattlemen’s Association, and made a name for himself as a skilled auctioneer. But it was his love for beef cattle and farming that truly defined his passions. Whether he was working with his cattle or working the land, Craig found solace and happiness in these pursuits.
Craig was a man who embodied the phrase "larger than life." His presence was felt in every room he entered, his laughter was infectious, and his stories and jokes were legendary. He had an uncanny ability to make everyone feel welcome and valued, and his generosity knew no bounds. Craig's impact on the community and the lives of those who knew him will be felt for generations to come.
A Celebration of Life to honour Craig will be held on
Saturday, October 5, 2024, from 1 to 4pm at Prinzen Farms, 310 Main St, Bloomfield.
It will be a time for family, friends, and community members to come together, share their memories,
and honour the remarkable life of a man who gave so much to so many.
Craig's journey on this earth has come to an end, but his spirit will live on in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know him. May he rest in peace, forever remembered for his love, kindness, and the indomitable spirit that defined his life.
