Parent, Sheila

SHEILA PARENT
June 1954 -  June 2024

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Sheila,
while surrounded by her family,
at her home on June 23, 2024.

Loving wife of Michael. Proud mother of Jacob Parent and Karla (Robert) Medeiros.
Beloved grandmother to Brody, Samuel and Katherine. Devoted dog-mom to Wilma.
Sheila always had an open-door policy and is very deeply missed by extended family and friends, and many nieces and nephews.

Sheila’s greatest joy came from watching her grandchildren excel in their many activities, a passion that brought her immense pride
and happiness.  She was known for passionately cheering on her granddaughter Katie at Cheerleading competitions, endlessly
bragging about her Grandson Sam’s musical talents and work ethic and for showing unwavering support for her grandson
Brody’s karate and academic achievements.

Sheila was the daughter of the late Alfred and Margaret Keller and she grew up on their farm with her six brothers and sisters
in Eganville, ON.  Sheila attended Loyalist College in Belleville.  After which she moved to Prince Edward County
where she met the love of her life.  They moved around for a while, and eventually settled back into the County on Main St. Wellington
in 1990, where she has lived ever since.  She may not have been born here but she became a “County Girl” through and through.

Throughout the years, Sheila was a comfort for anyone suffering with Cancer or Mental Health Issues.
She always made herself available, was an advocate for anyone who needed it, and opened her home many times to people in need.

A Celebration of Life will be held in the backyard of her home at 420 Main St. Wellington on the weekend
of Friday August 23 with the Memorial and Luncheon to be held between 1pm to 4pm on Saturday August 24th, 2024.
Please consider bringing your own lawn chairs.
