Larocque, Lionel

 

Lionel Joseph Larocque

Lionel passed away at Hospice Prince Edward with family by his side 
on May 25, 2024, at the age of 77.

Beloved husband of Beverley (Herrington) Larocque. 
Father of Jeannine and Michelle (Justin) Hubbard.  Step-father to Ann (Tracy) Stephens. 
Grandfather of William, Amelia, Gabriel, Isaac, Elijah, Laura and Ryan.  Brother of the late Joseph (Teresa), Abby (Judy),
Lorraine Rimmer, the late Irene Richardson, Gene, Linda Jones, Georgette (Ron) and John (Karen).
Lionel will be greatly missed by many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews.

Lionel was born in Ajax, where he went to school and worked for Chrysler Canada for 32 years. 
Lionel and Bev retired in1998 and moved to Wellington to enjoy their retirement. 
Lionel’s interests included antique cars, woodworking and watching the birds.

A special thank you to the staff at Quinte Health Belleville General Hospital, Prince Edward County Memorial Hospital
and Hospice Prince Edward where he received exemplary care.  Also, a special thanks to Leanne and Jeff.

As per his wishes, cremation has already taken place and a Graveside Service
will be held at the Wellington Cemetery on Saturday, June 15th at 1:00 p.m.
Following the interment, a Celebration of Life will be held at the Wellington on the Lake Rec Centre at 2:00 p.m.
Memorial Donations to the Alzheimer’s Society or Hospice Prince Edward would be appreciated by the family.
