Suddenly on Wednesday, August 4, at age 56, after a long battle with mental illness. High school sweetheart of Wendy and loving father of Natalie and Rachel. Devoted son of Rod and the late Margaret, cherished brother of Brian (Arlene), and dear uncle of Jessie and Brent. Sorrowfully missed and fondly remembered by his aunts Lorraine Southwick and Dorothy Babiak of Toronto, and his many cousins, in-laws, and friends. Jim loved fresh air and exercise, which is why he enjoyed his job as a letter carrier with Canada Post for 28 years. He also loved golf, especially the armchair variety, and barbequing, medium rare. Jim was a voracious reader, expert at Trivial Pursuit, talented photographer, and passionate about classic rock.
A
private memorial in celebration of Jim?s life will be held at a later date.
The family thanks the emergency
response team and staff of the
Prince Edward Memorial and Kingston General
Hospitals.
In lieu of flowers,
donations in Jim?s memory to the Canada Post Foundation
for Mental Health would
