Baron Herbert von Lieven
of Wellington on the Lake died peacefully at home
on Thursday, November 23rd, 2023
at the age of 88.
Herbert was provided loving care by Marguerite, his wife of 56 years.
Predeceased by his daughter Dianne, his sister Else (Weigeleir) and his parents Baron Felix and Otti von Lieven.
Herb had many joys in his life including cars, ocean cruises, gardening and Manhattans with two maraschino cherries.
He never lost his sense of humour and showed us all what dying with dignity looks like.
He will be fondly remembered and dearly missed by his nieces, nephews
and many family and friends in Canada and Germany.
He was a fine gentleman.
Cremation has taken place and no visitation or service will be held.
Interment will take place in Ottawa at a later date.
