MILLER, Jearl Malcom
October 8, 1916 – September 2, 2022
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of
Jearl Malcom Miller of Picton,Ontario
in his 106th year.
Beloved husband of the late Alleen Miller (nee Burley).
Loving son of the late Sherman Jearl Miller and Jennie Myrtle Miller (nee Aulthouse).
Jearl will be missed by his son Don (Maureen) of Renfrew, grandchildren Earl, Evan,
Jennifer and Rebecca and great grandchildren Ethan and Blake, as well as his many
friends and loving and loyal dog Emma. Jearl’s son Roger predeceased him.
Born in Picton, with connections to Main Duck Island, Jearl joined the Army in 1939
and was a sergeant and truck mechanic until he left in 1945. After the war, Jearl was
a successful local dairy farmer and also became the co-owner and partner of Picton Motors for 29 years.
He loved animals, was a fantastic hobbyist and tinkerer, while being a man of great conviction.
He drove into his 100’s, and lived independently in his own home until his final days.
At Jearl’s request, cremation has taken place with no service,
Jearl has been interred with his wife at the Bowerman McFaul Cemetery here in the County.
