Art Hewer
October 21, 1943 – July 13, 2020
It is with profound sadness and heavy hearts that the family of Art Hewer
announce his passing on July 13, 2020 at the Kingston General Hospital
at the age of 76.
Art will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 11 years, Sharron,
and his children Jim, Rob (Trish), and Sheri (Miguel).
He will be dearly missed by his grandchildren Kaitlyn, Jordan, Sarah, Julia, and Reese,
and will fondly be remembered by his sister Ann (Rick) and nieces and nephews.
He is predeceased by his wife Betty, daughter Karen, and brother Steve.
Art was a man who gave so much and asked for so little.
He was actively involved in the community and was previously recognized as Wellington’s Citizen of the Year in 2014.
He touched many lives and will be deeply missed and forever remembered by his community, friends, and family.
The family would like to extend their thanks and gratitude to the staff at the Kingston General Hospital
and the Picton Hospital for their compassion and care.
Due to the restrictions surrounding the COVID-19 pandemic,
a small family service will be held.
A public Celebration of Life will follow at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the St. Andrew’s Anglican Church, Wellington.
