McCauley, Betty

It is with great sorrow we announce the passing of
BETTY McCAULEY  (nee Marshall),
at the age of 92,

Betty died peacefully on May 12th, 2020,
at the PEC Memorial Hospital, Picton
Predeceased by her loving husband Leslie, her parents Charles and Hilda,
and her daughter Christine.

Leaving to mourn are her adoring children Robert McCauley (Debra), Janet McCauley
(Dave Beeler), and Nancy McCauley (Gary Breau).
Betty will be dearly missed by her many Grandchildren and Great-Grandchildren,
as well as many other family members and friends.

Betty was a loving, gentle soul, who had touched many lives.
During World War ll, she was active picking fruit in the Niagara region,
as a Farmerette, for the war effort.
She met Leslie after the war, and their love was the stuff of romance novels.
Leslie was in the RCAF, and that meant moving every four to six years.
Betty moved without complaint, and enjoyed seeing western Canada.
The family loved camping, and Betty kept her four children occupied and happy while tenting in the rain, snow, or hail.
She was a very crafty person, and was active with her sewing, knitting, crocheting, and quilting.
Betty loved when the family got together. She had a great sense of humour,
and you could hear her distinct giggle in the conversations. She had a great love for all her family
and the family that didn't live nearby, she would follow them on Facebook,
enjoying their pictures and activities.

Due to COVID-19, the family is having a small graveside service,
with a Celebration
of Life to follow once the restrictions are lifted.
ln lieu of flowers, donations can be made to PEC Memorial Hospital Foundation,
or a charity of your choice.
