In memory of: Kees Kort Message: Sad news indeed. Kees and I were frequently engaged as adversaries in labour arbitration and negotiations since 1997 and I always enjoyed engaging with him. We both had a longstanding respect for each other and our times spent together were always amicable, and often fun, I considered him a friend. I will miss him as will the community. My condolences to the family.

In memory of: Kees Kort Message: My recollection of Kees was of a lawyer who served his clients diligently, but who always showed real empathy for the human frailties and foibles that he saw on both sides of the bargaining table. It was that fundamental personal decency - and humanity - and wry good humor (cigarette in hand) - that made him such a joy to work with over the years. Not least because he would never let his clients do anything that was unfair. So, I am sorry to read that he has left the labour law community. My condolences to his family.
