In memory of: Gary Fox Message: Gary Fox was one of the most straightforward honest individuals I have had the honour of knowing. About 28 years ago Gary gave me some very simple and sound advise regarding coming from the city to farm sheep full time. He was willing to listen to a stranger who knocked on his shop door out of the blue. He asked a few questions as to what our occupations were and said:" come out here, work at what you do and raise a few as a hobby or stay in Toronto." I took his advice and stayed in the city. Eight years latter we had the financial freedom to make the move to the country, touched base with Gary again and did raise sheep for 8 years building up to a flock of 125. Gained a ton of agricultural experience in that time and now 18 years as a professional sheep shearer. The moral of this story is, " a bond was created in a few moments that changed the direction of our lives forever for the better"!! I have the utmost respect for this man, rang Gary about a year back ( damn time goes fast) and have always considered him a distant friend. With much respect to his family, friends and associates. He is undergoing radiation treatments at the moment, so we are trying to avoid crowds, if we can, but Lee had promised Gary he would visit him and was so disappointed when he heard the news.
