In memory of: Kathleen Spry Message: Don, Diana, David & Maria: Both Janet and I are saddened to learn of the sudden illness & quick passing of your Mom/Grandma. She was an awesome woman, friendly and welcoming to her home on Hyland Crt and the farm in the County many times. I now cherish even more the last time we were at the farm when she and I spent chatting about the past & the County. There are no words to ease the grief of losing any parent, so I won’t try. Just know that Janet and I send our deepest and sincere condolences to you.

In memory of: Kathleen Spy Message: To: Marg, Don, Barb and Families My sincere condolences on the loss of a wonderful sister, mother and grandmother. I am so fortunate to have worked with and had Kathleen as a friend over the past 35 plus years. In the early years of parenting and working at HDH, Kathleen provided some really good advice related to issues on child rearing and challenging nutrition related issues. Our family usually made annual trips to the county and they weren't complete without a visit to the farm to visit Kathleen and her sister Marg. A highlight was seeing and possibly petting lambs, Border collie pups and foals. In more recent years, Cathy, also a work colleague and friend, thoroughly enjoyed spending part of the day with Kathleen when we would go out for lunch and she would tour us around the county and share info about the history of the area. I anticipate you have many special memories of this special lady too! Thankfully the many special times you shared and special memories you created will provide comfort and always keep her close. Our class has enjoyed a close “sisterhood” starting from first year on Guelph campus in 1964. I recall that the English prof insisted on alphabetical seating so as a result Kathleen was one of the first classmates I met- she Kerr and I Kingston.
