In memory of: My Dear Friend and Co Worker
Message: So sorry for your loss Leah, Jeff and all of the Shipley clan. I worked with Fred for a number of years at SCH and became very dear friends with your Father and Uncle and I just want you all to know how much he loved you and talked about you guys all the time. I remember when Leah had your daughter Samantha and how proud he was, I also was a first time Grandmother and we talked excessively about our Grandkids. I want you to know how much of a friend your Dad was and what a kind man he was. He told me stories about going down south and taking his son and dressing up for an re-enactment of the Civil War and they both were in a movie as extras, that was a memory he held dear to his heart. Your Dad will be missed for his heart of gold, my deepest condolences to you all. RIP Fred

In memory of: Fred Shipley
Message: My Condolences to the Shipley Family. I only found this obit this morning, after I called and found his phone number was no longer in service.

I had the pleasure of meeting Fred at work - He at DFO and myself at PWGSC. We became friends and continued our friendship after he retired. A gentleman that spoke well of his family. We shared talks about many topics - all in fun.

I know that he had a difficult time with the passing of his wife Debi, his brother Steve, his son Bryan, and his stepdaughter Candice. The last I spoke to him, he told me of issues that he had and that he would have more tests in January. I hope that he is now at peace and no longer in any pain. May God Bless Him.

In memory of: Fred Shipley
Message: Always a sad time to say goodbye to loved ones.
May the happy and fun times of the past keep your spirits up.
Years ago the Shipley family would visit us every summer, at Aunt Mary and uncle Scotties place.
The brothers would love playing in the barn and river. I can still remember Aunt Beryl worrying about their safety and
my Dad telling her to stop her worries, they are out having fun. You would have to ask sister Betty what
they were up to though.
Blessings Nancey and Sam Taylor

In memory of: Fred Shipley
Message: Deepest condolences and sympathies to all my family during this time of grief and mourning. Wishing us all comfort at the loss of Fred who was kinder than his gruff disposition lead some to believe, thought deeper than his words would suggest and loved greater than his gruffness hinted at. May the perfection of these contradictions live weather the storm of his passing leaving us only with our cherished memories of such a complicated and simple man.

Wishing you a resting peace comforted by the welcoming arms of your predeceased loved ones Uncle Fred. May you find comfort there.

I love you.

Jeff.
