Ellis, Raymond

With sadden hearts, we announce the passing of my dear father,
Raymond Lloyd, Ellis, age 92,
who left us peacefully surrounded by family on January 1st, 2024
Prince Edward County Memorial Hospital, Picton, ON

Ray was born on May 17th, 1931 to Clifton and Clarice Ellis.
He is survived by his daughter Sharon (Jim) of Onslow Mtn NS.
He will be lovingly remembered by his grandchildren, Halisha, Christopher, Kailey (Rob),
Mekenzie (Ron), Jared (Sol) and his 13 great grandchildren.
He is predeceased by his wife Laura and son Randy.

Ray moved to Wellington in 1965 from the farm to continue his truck driving dream.
He transported cement for Triad then Trimac until he retired.
During his retirement years he dabbled in all types of woodworking, and gifting his projects to family and friends.
He enjoyed his summer days casting a line or two and a few games of pool with his son-in-law.
Until recently, you could find him at the kitchen table for hours involved in completing his diamond paintings.
His family would like to thank our community care program who supplied PSW’s during his fracture time and to Stephanie for her continued assistance when dealing with his care while in hospital. Also, to humbly thank the professionalism of those in the hospital during the last two days of his life.

Cremation has taken place.
A Graveside Service will be announced and take place at the Wellington Cemetery in the spring.
