Elmy, Mary Ruth

MARY “RUTH” ELMY
Passed away Saturday, December 23rd, 2023
peacefully at Hospice Prince Edward.

Ruth was born in Northport, ON on January 2nd, 1926.
Daughter of Harry and Mary Smith. Beloved sister of Howard.
Wife of the late Harold James Elmy.
Much loved mother of David (Cathy Moore) and Esther (Lyle) Lloyd.
Predeceased by her eldest son Stephen and grandson Adam.
She will be missed by her daughter in-law, Elaine, grandchildren Janine (Michael) Allen, Scott (Cassie) Elmy, Rachel Elmy, Tim (Blaze) and Andy Lloyd and great grandchildren Kyle, Liam, Hunter, Chase, Hyde,
Rielle, Jayden and Mason, niece Lois (Wayne) Brough, Brenda and Wayne.

Mom married and moved to Belleville and later returned to the County to be closer to family.
She was a dedicated mother and filled our home with love and warmth. She loved and was loved.

Mom was an amazing artist. Her paintings are in all her family and friends’ homes.
An occasion never went by without a hand painted card. She loved to travel and was fortunate
enough to enjoy many journeys with family and friends.

Most of all, Mom was devoted to God’s word. Every morning was started by reading her bible
and praying for family. She was a true example of what a Christian should be.

Mom loved her family and instilled in her children, strong values.
She will be dearly missed and forever loved.

Special thanks to MLP for the last few years of care and love, PEC Memorial Hospital
and especially Hospice Prince Edward for your care and kindness.

As per Ruth’s request cremation has taken place and there will be no service at this time.
Memorial Donations to the PEC Memorial Hospital Foundation or Hospice Prince Edward
