It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of
Dorothy (Dot) Boudreau
on Thursday, April 6th, 2023
Loving wife of the late Stanislaus (Stan) Boudreau. Loving mother of Sandra Murphy (and her husband Dan),
David Boudreau (and his wife Karen) and Greg Boudreau (and his wife Laurie). Loving grandmother of Amanda and Meghan Murphy, Sierra and Cameron Boudreau, Cassidy and Morgan Nice and Justin Boudreau. Loving great-grandmother to Declan Murphy.
Loving sister to the late Burt Garretsee and the late Joseph (Joe) Garretsee.
Dot was born to Donald (Don) and Eleanor Garretsee on January 29th, 1938 on the family farm in Partridge Hallow.
The family soon moved to the village of Consecon where she was raised and spent her early years beating up her brothers
and helping her dad on the farm.
Some time in 1960 Dot was set up on a blind date with an Air Force man from Nova Scotia and
on June 3 the next year she married, Stan, the love of her life. They were soon off to Germany where Stan had been
posted and during their years there they made many friends and brought their first two children into the world; Sandra and David.
When they returned to a posting in Trenton they built the family home in Consecon and finished up the family with the arrival of Greg.
It was also during this time that Stan and Dot first became active in the Consecon Legion. There were two more postings, the first to Summerside PEI where the family spent serval years before finally moving back to Consecon for good in the mid 1980s.
Dot loved to play cards and loved spending time with family and friends. She was a stay at home mom and raised her three kids.
As the kids got older she took on many roles at the Consecon Legion and she has a huge Legion family as well.

Below is the tribute written by the Consecon Legion:
Dorothy was a Life Member and an integral member of the Consecon Legion and Ladies Auxiliary for over 41 years. She worked tirelessly for the Branch in all aspects of the Legion. Dorothy was at various times Chairman of Poppy, Youth Education, Entertainment, Public Speaking, Sports, and Bar Committees. She served as both 1st and 2nd Vice Presidents just to name a few. Dot was known as Mrs. Everything as there was no aspect of the Legion, she was not involved in. A dedicated Legionnaire and community member. A woman who believed in the values of the Legion and Family. She will be truly missed.
