Bowles, Christopher

Bowles, Christopher John
(76) of Wellington, Prince Edward County, Ontario
died unexpectedly on Nov 7th, 2017
from an aneurysm at Picton Hospital.

The vibrant and charming man who loved the outdoors and nature leaves behind his wife Ibolya (Ibo) and sister Angela.

Locals knew him as the former owner of the Reel Thing Fishing and boat rental. Always helpful and a contributor to the local community as a founding member of the Wellington Auxiliary Rescue Association. He was the ultimate salesman and entrepreneur whose former life was in the corporate world of global sales was accompanied with business ventures of his own. From chasing those illusive trophy salmon in Lake Ontario with his charter boat the Rainbow Raider to years spent in Palgrave, Ontario, breeding and raising horses for harness racing. His hobbies included fishing, photography and birding with his true passion outside of his love for Ibo and family being gardening. The many kinds of roses, lilies, spring, summer and fall bulbs always reached for the sky under his loving care. The tomatoes, beans and peppers grew in abundance to provide a wonderful harvest.

He wished to be cremated after which a private service
for the immediate family will be held.
A Celebration of his life to which all who knew Chris are invited to attend
will be held on Saturday May 12th, 2018
at the Wellington Community Center 12 pm.
