Hunter, Robert

Robert Herbert Hunter
December 15th, 1939 - November 10th, 2024

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of
Bob Herbie Hunter on November 10th, 2024.

Beloved husband to Barbara Hunter for 61 years.
Dearly loved father to three boys, David (Julie), Herbert (Laurie), and Jeffrey (Tanya).
A proud grandfather of seven, Shelby (Kyle), Dallas (Riley), Holly, Ryan (Olivia), Taylor (Colby), Brayden, and Trenton,
and honoured great grandfather to Clark and Dallas.

He leaves behind his brother Ted (Janice) Hunter, his two brother-in-laws, Richard (Debbie) Roe and Fred (Kathy) Roe,
and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents Gordon and Louva Jean and his sister Mary-Lou.

A proud graduate of Kemptville Agricultural College, Bob had a passion for farming and was well known in the farming community.
In his hometown of Brooklin, Ontario, he was the owner and operator of a thriving mixed farm working in both agriculture and livestock, creating the largest Emu and Ostrich farm in Canada. He was the creator of the two largest tractors in Canada still in use today.

After a move to Prince Edward County in his later years, he was the owner and operator of an expansive agriculture farm still in operation. As an entrepreneur, he explored many diverse projects throughout his life, including real estate, solar power,
and bio agriculture.

He was extremely grateful to his dedicated farm staff, past and present,
for their tireless work in helping him to achieve his goals.

The family would like to thank his care team Dr. Sarah LeBlanc, LeeRoy, Sheri, Jennifer,
and the countless others who helped him through his last days.

A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday November 23rd from 1:00pm - 4:00pm
at David and Julie’s home, 671 County Road 2, Hillier, ON.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly request donations be made in his name to the
