Passed away at Kentwood Park Long Term Care Home, Picton
on Thursday, August 29th, 2024
GWEN DELLA THOMPSON
(nee Tuttle)
In her 80th year
Loved daughter of the late Fran Insley and Burt Tuttle.
Beloved wife of the late William Thompson.
Survived by her wonderful son Edward, son Richard (Lisa) and Karen, Donna and Tracey.
Fondly remembered by grandchildren Katelynn, James and Richard Jr. and by her sisters Ann Rushlow & Gloria Nelson.
Her best friend Jeanette Jenkins for 49 years was an honorary sister. Jeanette saved her life more than once
and is very much appreciated
Gwen was an amazing, prize-winning Quilter, an avid cribbage and euchre player, world traveler having visited
England, Ireland, Wales & Scotland and multiple states in America. She travelled to England to see where she was born
which was a life -long dream. Gwen worked for Canada Post and The Mushroom Farm.
She will be missed by friends and family.
Cremation has taken place and a Graveside Service will be held at the Wellington Cemetery
on Friday, September 6th at 11:00 a.m.
