Daisy Marcov
passed away peacefully on May 6th with family at her side,
at the Kentwood Park Long Term Care Home in Picton Ontario
at the age of 96.
Daisy was the beloved wife of the late Nick Marcov (1980) and cherished mother of the late Ron Marcov (2021) (Jennifer), Shirley Smith (David), and Sandra Cockerill (Ken). She was predeceased by all of her eight siblings.
She will be dearly missed by her three grandchildren, Niki Marcov, Kasmira Cockerill, and Alex Cockerill, and three great grandchildren Jesse, Mackenzie, and Wren. Auntie Daisy will be lovingly remembered by her closest nieces and nephew, Dianna Nazario, Sally Demint, and Mike Labeau and their families. Daisy had many wonderful extended family members and close friends
who are saddened by her passing.
Daisy will be fondly remembered as the loudest laugh in the room, the quickest to smile and warmly greet anyone she knew with hugs and kisses. She knit her much-loved dishcloths and was a skillful card player (usually winning) right until the end. Daisy was also a very accomplished bowler in Welland for many years, and her cabbage rolls and perogies were the best! Her generosity of spirit and boundless ability to love everyone will be greatly missed. A special thank you to those staff at Kentwood who lovingly cared for her,
and whom she loved in return.
Cremation has taken place.
Friends are invited to join the family on Friday June 2nd for visitation at
Ainsworth Funeral Home, 288 Noxon Avenue, Wellington from 1-4pm
and Saturday June 3rd Interment service, Woodlawn Cemetery in Welland at 11am.
