Snider, Larry

It is with the mixed emotions of deep sorrow that comes with the loss of a loved one,
but also, with the amazing comfort that comes in knowing that loved one is in the
arms of their Saviour and Lord, Jesus Christ, that we release
Larry Richard Snider,
Pastor of Gilead Fellowship, after a brief illness (not covid related).

Larry went to be with his Lord in his 78th year on March 16th, 2022 at PECMH.

Larry was a County boy, born and raised in Wellington and returned to reside in the County with his wife 35 years ago.
Predeceased by parents Milton and Marjorie Snider, and an infant sister, Marilyn.

Much loved husband of Kathy for almost 50 years; who will miss him so much and will anticipate their reunion in glory.
Devoted father of two daughters, Sheryl (Brendon) of Newfoundland and Shelley (Theo-deceased) of Grimsby
and her three sons (three awesome grandsons), Braydon, Dalton and Nolan, who loved their Poppy and are devastated by his loss.

Survived by siblings sister:  Mavis Vader (Allan-deceased) of Wellington  brothers: Eugene (Bev-deceased) of Wellington,
Ron (Keitha-deceased) of Kitchener,
Ken (Carol) of Belleville and Greg (Joanne) of North Carolina.
Uncle Larry will be missed by many special nephews and nieces who have wonderful memories of fun times
with him over the years, especially at the cottage property.

He had a way about him; loved nicknaming people; might not remember your real name, but always the nickname,
he loved to tease, gave out Happy Meal McDonald’s gift coupons, and was always very encouraging.  He loved extravagantly.

Larry, with his wife Kathy, pioneered a youth drop-in center in Beamsville, ON in 1975, and started two live-in homes to help abused/addicted young women; one in Ridgeway, Ontario in 1978 and one here in the County in Consecon in 1988.
He then started and pastored Gilead Fellowship in 1994 until present.

He will be greatly missed by all his family and the congregation of Gilead.

Friends may visit with the family on Tuesday, March 22nd from 6-8 p.m. at the

AINSWORTH FUNERAL HOME, 288 NOXON AVENUE, WELLINGTON
Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, March 23rd at 11:00 a.m.
at the Hope Centre, 46 King Street, Picton. The family will greet friends from 10:00 a.m. until time of service.
Interment Wellington Cemetery later this spring.
