Passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his family 
on Tuesday, May 18^th, 2021

In his 90^th year



Loving husband of Barbara Vacirca.
Dear father of Amy Vacirca, Francis Vacirca (Mike Laroche), Paul Vacirca (Heather), Ellen Vacirca and Rita Vacirca (Patrick Linett)
and step father to Paul (Dawn) Pettingill, Judy Pettingill, Steven Pettingill and Sherry Thackeray (Fred Upshaw).  
Predeceased by stepchildren John, Susan and Peter Pettingill. Grandpa to several grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Survived by his sister Vera in Rome, Italy.

Mario had a distinguished military career in aviation. He was Military Advisor to the Secretary General of the United Nations,
Regional Director of Transport Canada and Regional Manager of NAV Canada.
He was an active member of the Masonic Lodge and the Wellington United Church. 
 He had a passion for playing bridge and will be sadly missed by his family and friends.

Due to the current gathering restrictions,
a private family interment will take place at Wellington Cemetery.
