Monro, Billy

William Earl Monro
January 10, 1950 - June 25, 2019

With the most grateful and heavy hearts we share with you that Billy, Stockcar, Sidecar Monro,
passed away peacefully Tuesday June 25, 2019 at home with his close family holding him.

Son of the late Sidney Earl and Nora (Brown).
Loving husband of Debbie Monro (Welsh) for 49 years.
Dear dad of Brandy Monro (Mathew Dillon) and the late B.J. Monro.
Best friend and Poppa of Lucy Louise and Kanoa William Monro-Dillon.
Dear brother of Bev Hynde (Wally) and Barb Spencer (Johnny).
Son-in-law of the late Richard and Dorothy (Forbes) Welsh.
Many great memories with Bill’s many nieces and nephews.

The legend: there is not a person who has shared a story of Billy that was not Legendary.
The antics, the shenanigans, the experiences, the parties, the music, the life in FULL force.
He lived it hard, fast and by his own definition.
His sharp mind, his boldness, his love of loud music and loud shirts, his love of a good time,
his many natural talents, racing, playing net, Cuba, his brave face, never complaining and
under it all his soft heart, especially for Debbie and his grandkids.
McKinley Crossroad is quiet now. We’ll miss all his noise.
He’s having the reunions of a lifetime! Cheers Billy!

As per Bill’s wishes cremation has taken place.
Friends are invited to celebrate Billy’s life with his family on Friday, July 12th
from 1-4 p.m. in the Highline Hall at the Lehigh Arena in Wellington.
Remembrances to be shared at 2:00 p.m.
To honour his love of hockey, Memorial Donations to the
Prince Edward County Minor Hockey Association
would be appreciated by the family.
