Name: Len Burke
In memory of: Al Obal
Message: My sincerest condolences. I met Al during Officer training in 1969. In addition to teaching me to wash my hair with a bar of sunlife soap and a scrub brush he taught me toughness. Al was not only physically tough but mentally. Over the years, I have watched him deal with cancer with a strength few posses. I will always remember Al for his kindness and friendship. RIP my friend.

In memory of: Al Obal
Message: We would like to extend our condolences to the Obal family. Al was one of those people that you automatically liked. His joie de vivre was contagious, and his sense of humour relentless! We were lucky to have known him through antique boating, and have enjoyed many chats and visits throughout the years. Kim and Kevin - we sent messages via Facebook, but it's one of those weird platforms that if you aren't on each others' 'friends' list, it's easy to not see the message.
Please know that you're in our thoughts and prayers during this difficult time for your families. Al was a great guy!
