In memory of: Susan Matthews Message: Roy & Family, Not often when you meet new neighbours do you realize, at the time, how quickly you will become friends, or how much of an impact they will have on your life. We were devastated to hear of your loss. We will always treasure our time with Susan. She regaled us with stories which always made us laugh, letting her great sense of humour shine through. Susan had that impact on others. Not everyone has the ability to listen, but Susan did. Susan always remembered special occasions and other important events, and checked in on us routinely. It was not usual to find an email from her just to wish us well or asking about something we were involved with. Her compassion for others was immeasurable, even when she was in discomfort. Susan will be missed, and will remain forever in our hearts. Roy, as her loving companion, we are both saying prayers for comfort for you and the family during this difficult time. In memory of: Susan Matthews Message: Roy and Families - I am so sorry to read of Susan's passing. I first met her when I had a table at the antiques barn out on Cty. Rd. 6 and soon came to know her wonderful sense of humour. She was always good for a story and a great laugh. I guess the last time that I saw her was at one of the local antique shows at the Curling Club where she told me of her illnesses and I am sorry that she suffered so with these. Another fond memory of her is when my husband, Lynn Fennell, and I convinced her to make her debut in the acting world and she appeared on stage in our very first play above the Firehall for Prince Edward Community Theatre in 2009. She was a natural but I know she said she was so nervous that she'd never do it again! It was our loss, she was that good! May she now be sharing her sense of humour elsewhere.
