Ken was my brother-in-law for a time, and I remember him as a fun, adventurous soul. He loved play, and his smile was contagious with those huge dimples. I can still hear the sound of his laugh, and it has been years since he has been a more regular part of my life. Still, his death came as a shock and his loss is felt.
He was there when I was a teenager, attended my wedding, drove my sister down for a visit (four hours drive) and brought Canadian Club Whiskey. (I have long forgiven him for that. Lol) Ken introduced me to classic rock, and I specifically remember he introduced me to the 4 Non Blondes.
My life was truly impacted by his existence, and he will never be forgotten. I can see that he was a loving and caring father to his daughters, my nieces, and that tells a person a lot about someone right there.
While time and space have made it difficult to attend his celebration of life in person, I will be there in spirit. I am sending huge hugs to Becki, Lindsey, and my sister, Sherry. I am also amplifying love, grace, and resilience for them and those who were closest to Ken. ❤️ |
