Name: Bruce Hug
In memory of: George Robert Hug
Message: Dear Greg, Cheryl, Stephen and Heather

We were really sad to hear of the passing of Uncle George. He was a good and caring man. My Mom was always happy to hear from him and to catch up on family news, especially after my Dad passed away. That’s how we got to hear about what was happening with you guys. On the last visit he made to the farm, we had some good conversations about some of the carpentry projects I had going on here and he gave me a few good tips. We also talked quite a bit about decoy making, something else I’m kind of interested in.

I have fond memories of you guys just living up the road. I remember your Mom being a happy person, always smiling, ready with a little joke.

I remember playing hockey in your basement, cleaning a lot of fish after a big ice fishing haul, and having feathers pretty much everywhere with the plucking of many ducks after a hunt. I also remember your grandfather, Mr. McCutcheon living with you guys and all the hard times you’d give him! All in good fun though! He didn’t seem to mind any of it.

Our thoughts and prayers are with all of you. It’s never easy when we lose our Mom’s and Dad’s.

Love Bruce and Janet Hug

Name: Stephen Christensen
In memory of: George Hug
Message: Having become friends with Greg in 1969, I was welcomed by his parents with open arms. George was such a lively character who loved a party, including those in his own back yard - dancing on picnic tables anyone!. Having had contact only with Stephen and Greg for some 45 years, I enjoyed a brief few minutes with George last year. He was to my observation the same gentleman-professional I remembered. To all the family, take care and rest easy in your dad's life well lived and highly respected.
