Message: Dear Zoe, We send you our heartfelt condolences on the passing of your very dear Ben. You must be bereft and heart-broken to lose him, even as you say his last bit of time was a hardship with poor health taking its toll on him. The obituary was an articulate, loving, and beautiful tribute to him as well as to your committed relationship, a testament to many years of happiness, adventures and love. We easily discerned him and his personality through your words.
Know that we hold you (& him) in our thoughts and in our hearts. We wish you peace and comfort as you take on this next stage, of mourning and of finding your path forward without him at your side, but oh-so-present in both your heart and mind.
Fondest regards, Oline Dunlop and family

Message: Our heartfelt condolenses go out to Zoe and family on the loss of Ben.

Our mother Pauline Jenkins was a close friend of Zoe's and by extension had the added benefit of Ben's friendship.

My mom held Ben in great respect and enjoyed his company very much when visiting with Zoe. She marvelled at his many talents and his great work ethic. Ben and Zoe's gardens were a joy to behold!

I was fortunate to have met Ben a few times over the years and it was easy to see why he was so well loved. I can also attest to his Irish charm!

I wish Zoe and family peace, comfort and lots of love at this time of sorrow.

May you rest in peace Ben.

Message: "To know him was to love him", Uncle Ben was easy to love, and loved by many he was. Our thoughts are with dear Zoe, his loving family and many friends.

Growing up, it was always very exciting when we knew Ben and Zoe were coming home to Northern Ireland to visit.
When I was 16, my first driving experience was with Ben. He taught me how to drive Zoe's automatic car, his Volvo was strictly off limits! However he DID trust my friend and I to race around on his red farm quad! I found my love of driving back then and still love to drive now!
I could have listened to Uncle Ben talk for hours. Even though he spent all those years living in Canada he still had that Northern Irish twang.

Rest well, Ben. We love you xxxx
