Name: Gisa and Tony Iannaci
In memory of: Al Harrott
Message: Tony and I have known Al for a long time. He was proud of his work with the Hospital board and The Food bank. Anyone who knew Al, knew he was a man of strong opinions and beliefs. He was determined and believed in what he was doing. He had a way getting his point across which some could find a little irritating. He definitely kept the County on their toes, or at least tried to. He loved his phone and never hesitated to call people to express his concerns. We didn’t realize how much we would miss his daily calls.

May our friend Al Rest In Peace
Name: Ernie Margetson
In memory of: Al Harrott
Message: Dear Karen, Charlotte, and families. It is with great sadness that I heard of my friend Al passing. As you know, I knew Al quite a long time and always enjoyed my visits with him and I respected him very much. I remember when he told me my shoes were the wrong colour (he was right), driving that old Volvo he wanted to sale, admiring his handiwork repairing and rejuvenating antique furniture, his absolute love for the Liberals, and more recently, my many phone calls about Wellington Beach and boat launch, among many other things. He was very honest and down to earth, and said what he thought, and I admired this. My condolences to all.

Sincerely,

Ernie

Message: Al called the municipality nearly every day - I spoke with him at least once a week. He always had strong opinions about what we should be doing, and held us to a high standard... but I usually learned some tidbit of information each time I spoke to him that I didn't know, or something I wanted to follow up on after talking to him. The phones are quieter these past weeks. He will be missed.

It was always a pleasure to visit with Al, whom I remember for his lively discussions of politics.
