In memory of: Mariann Dunsmore
Message: Was just searching for some friends from the 90’s and came across this devastating news.
Mariann was a light to any room she was in.
Her laughter could both wake the dead and I believe probably did on several occasions and they would have all joined in hysterically.
She was a beautiful woman soul. I was blessed to have called her a big sister at MH in the late 80s early 90’s
Herself and Donna Surprenant were instrumental in showing this broken man what true feminine beauty was, combined with incredible whit and talent. I miss them both.
Mariann was a light to my feet and put laughter in my soul. Pray for me “dear” as she used to call me.
Love Peace. Pax et Caritas -One of the three MDs

Message: My condolences to Mariann’s family, friends and brothers and sisters in Christ.
Having recently picked up one of Marianns works of Iconography, I was struck by the interesting style of Mixed media she had chosen to create her piece. A colourful traditional Icon of the Crucifixion, overlaid on a sombre black and white interior cathedral photo with highlights shining through..all set on a stunning Small orange red door frame. This inspired me to google the artist.. which has found me here, reading Marianns obituary. I have met Mariann before.. She was beautiful and full of Spirit. and I’m not sure but I think she is one of a couple of woman who introduced me to the Catechesis Of The Good Shepherd, and the Contemplative exploratory learning play/work using concrete items of beauty and utility, biblically based which was introduced to me and young students as part of a visit to a religion class in one of my practicum schools. Having read this reminded me of the desire to become further involved in learning more about it, the creation and maintenance of similar children’s Atriums. A brilliant but simply natural concept in the development of Faith.
I feel that Marianns beautiful work of Holy Art was divinely given to me in a timely fashion. It will be hung, and admired, to act as a reminder of a worthy path to explore In the education of students.

Message: My family sends heartfelt sympathies, love and hugs to your family♥️ Mariann was a treat to be with and so very talented in many ways. A passionate woman! Such a good sense of humour and was able to connect with people of any age and all walks of life. She certainly had much more to give on earth. The Bilton family is so admiring of Mariann’s friends and family to, once again, rally to the needs of others. Hoping you find comfort in the days ahead knowing she is at peace and with you always.
