I did not get to know him as well as I would have liked, but my memories of Uncle Gord are of a kind, gentle, and loving man with a bountiful sense of humour. It saddens me that I will not get to meet him again, but I know that much of who he was lives in you and the others whose lives he touched. Despite the distance, both literal and figurative, that has been between our families, every glimpse I get of the family you all have built together with him only proves how much Uncle Gord loved you all, and how much he'll be missed. I hope that in the future the opportunity will come to learn more of who he was, by getting to know you better, and perhaps through your stories of him, if and when you would like to share them. In memory of: Gord Conley Message: I was so shocked and saddened to hear of the passing of my good friend Gord. Polly and I had and have only great and wonderful memories of our many times spent with Gord and Linda. My heartfelt prayers and thoughts go out to the entire family. Gord and I were great coffee drinking buddies during the four and a half years we were at Wellington Pentecostal Church. I often sought Gords wonderful counsel and thoughts on so many topics and situations....a man of true Faith and Compassion that he lived out daily. Gord never turned down a request for help for Polly and I while in Wellington. 'Our loss is Heaven's gain' as the saying goes... I know Linda that the days to come you will find comfort in knowing that Gord is with the Lord and you have fifty years of wedded bliss...through tough times and times of plenty to remember.
