Message: Penny & family; really trying to find the words to let you know how much Charlie really mean’t to so many. Our families have been joined at the hip for over 50 years and in all that time, I have never heard anyone say a bad word about him. Our memories immediately go back to the boat racing days where it all began for us. Those friendships he forged way back when are just as strong today. Charlie’s infectious laugh and his wicked sense of humour always put a smile on somebody’s face. From our days travelling to T.O. and the U.S. for boat racing, to trying to get Wrong Way home were almost as good as the many horn trips in his favourite antique boat while cruising out of the harbour with Jack. His love for life was only surpassed by his love for Penny and his kids. Charlie’s spirit will continue through his kids and grand children. I hope that maybe this small glimpse into how others see him may give you some comfort. Thinking of you Peggy.

Message: Penny & family....Bob and I want to say how very sorry we were to hear of Charlies passing. He was a man that everybody loved, full of fun and the life of the party. We spent many good times together at the "Willows". Our boys grew up together and yes, got into some trouble, but still managed to grow into mature responsible adults. Charlie will be missed!!!

Message: Condolences to the family. I am pretty sure this is the Charlie Cole I went to High School with at PECI. We both graduated in 1968. I lost touch when I left the County to go to Toronto for work.
I would like to connect with the family to learn about Charlie's life for the past 50 odd years.
Sincerely,
Patrick Goodmurphy
