Retired Inspector, Belleville Police Services

Peacefully at home on Tuesday, December 5th, 2023, surrounded by family. 
Loving husband of Connie Allison-Goodwin.  
Proud father of Sean Patrick, and of Connie’s children- Dean Kleinsteuber (Annie) and Jamie Kleinsteuber.  
Special “Grumpy Grandpa Garn” to Keely, Reese and Bree.  
Dear brother of Kieron (Jamila), Sean (Catherine) and predeceased by sister Sharron (Dan).

Predeceased by his parents William and Amelia Woolmore-Goodwin.

Following a 30-year career with the Belleville Police Services, Garney joined the team at Alarm Systems and
was a valuable employee for more than 15 years. He was a founding member of the Crime Stoppers Quinte,
and was a dedicated Board member and fundraiser for the organization.  
Pathways to Independence was proud to call him a volunteer in their Acquired Brain Injury Program. 

Garney had a lifelong passion for the outdoors.  He was an avid fisherman, trapper and hunter.  
His true love was gathering with family and friends, playing his guitar, dancing and singing with The Reasons,
“Whiskey Fridays”, and travelling the world with Connie.  

Garney’s family would like to extend a special thank you to: Dr. Jamie Mason and
the SELHIN Palliative Care Team, including Dennis Michel, for their exceptional and loving care. 

As per Garney’s wishes, friends are invited to a
Celebration of Life at the Lehigh Arena, Wellington,
on Saturday, January 13th, 2024 from 1:00 -4:00. 
 The afternoon will include reflections from family and friends at 1:00 p.m.
followed by dancing with The Reasons and refreshments. 
If desired, Memorial Donations may be made to: Hospice Quinte, Hospice Prince Edward or Crime Stoppers Quinte.
