Johnston, Marjorie Lois

MARJORIE LOIS JOHNSTON
1931-2023

It is with heavy hearts that the Johnston family announces the passing of Lois.
Although we mourn, we are assured of her eternal life with her saviour Jesus Christ.

Lois is survived by Bill, her husband of 71 years and five adult children:
Leslie (Evelyn) Johnston of Lamont, AB; Bonnie (Bill) Hermiston of Cold Lake, AB; Gloria (Rolando) Eccleston of Ann Arbor, Michigan; Christine (George) Lazier of Blessington, ON; and Kenneth (Jennifer) Johnston of Wellington, ON.

Beloved grandchildren include Erin, Jodi and Kyle; Natasha and Samantha; Shannon and Rebecca; and Jordan.
Great grandchildren are Ava, Zoe and Violet; Piper; Rosaleigh; Damien; Alexander and Emmerson.

Also survived by brother in law Elmo Johnston of Frankford, ON and sister in law Shirley Johnston of Wellington, ON
as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

While most of Lois’s time was consumed with the care of her family, she also worked as a Teaching Assistant at
CML Snider Elementary School in Wellington. She loved the daily interactions with students and staff alike
and her personality shone bright in that role.

When it came to fun, she was always “up for it”, whether it meant dancing with Bill, having a sing-song around the
piano with her on the keys or being entertained by one of the grandkids. Her laughter and sense of wonder will be missed,
though her love of birdwatching, flowers and gardening has made its way through the generations and lives on.

The family wishes to extend heartfelt gratitude to NP Brad Gunn, NP Ali Meteer, Angel of Bayshore Nursing,
all the PSWs who gave it their best and the loving staff at Prince Edward Hospice.
We could not have imagined the journey without your professional guidance and tender hearts. You too, Tod!!

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date and will hopefully have
more laughter than tears, fond memories revisited, friends and family reunited and a cup or two of Tetley tea.
