Daughter, Sister, Aunt, Waitress, Bell Operator, Wife, Mom, Banquet Manager,
Correction Officer Boss, Grandma, Friend, Teammate.
A.K.A. Jackie, Jack, Jake & J.
Jackie had many titles.
She was most proud of Mom, Grandma, Sister, Aunt, Coach and Friend.
Jackie passed away on Wednesday, March 27th, 2024
at the PEC Memorial Hospital, Picton.
She was in her 76th year.
Predeceased by her parents William (Bill Sr.) Bentley and Leila (Lee) Bentley (nee Ostrom), her brother William (Bill Jr.) Bentley
and sister Deborah (Debi) Pepper. Also predeceased by her in-laws Walter and Elda Norton, brothers in-law David Bailey, Doug Norton, Jack Norton, Leland Ostrander, Walter (Wally) Brown and sisters in-law Jack Norton (nee Hathaway),
Patricia (Pat) Howard Norton (nee Cornell) and her nephew Michael Norton.
Survived by her husband Ron Norton, her son (Light of her life) Trevor &Tracy McCarney,
her daughter (Her Besty) Veronica & Mike Stark, her Grandchildren (Her Flowers About to Bloom):
Dryden Norton & Gillian DeMille, Logan Stark, Owen Norton, Sydney Stark, Regan Norton, Connor & Tiffany Squires,
Aidan Squires & Morgan Clark, Kieran Squires, her sisters Gerri Bailey, Christine Hays, Joyce DeSilva, Leslie Nieves Vale,
brother in-law Howard Norton, sisters in-law Myrla Brown (nee Norton), Mary Ostrander (nee Norton) and Joan Norton (nee Stone),
28 nieces and nephews, 34 great nieces and nephews
and 10 great great nieces and nephews.
Jackie loved fastball and was an exceptional player for 25 plus years. She Loved watching her Kids play sports and absolutely loved watching her Grandchildren play their sports that included hockey, baseball, basketball, volleyball and rugby.
Baseball was her “go to” sport. She loved to be at the ballpark of ball field. She would pull into the parking area at the Field of Dreams
in Wellington and watch kids from the age of 6 to 20 just play. Ball brought her comfort.

A Celebration of Life is planned for
Saturday, May 11th, 2024 at the Highline Hall and the
Field of Dreams in Wellington, 110 Belleville Street, Wellington
from 1-5 p.m.
