I am sorry that this message is coming to you so long after the passing of Mrs. Closson, but I wanted to reach out to her dear husband and family and share some thoughts.
She was my grade 1 teacher, didn't put up with one moment of my nonsense, was tough as nails and as sweet as pie. To this day, I enter her name when I'm asked a security question, I think of her often and she pretty much represents my first idea of what authority and responsibility mean. I wasn't the brightest bulb in the marquee, nor was I the worst kid she ever taught. I have no doubt, however that she remembered me.
Proof of that came when I had a chance to speak with her not long ago. I value that conversation more today. After just learning of her passing this afternoon, I want you to know that I honour her today and consider myself fortunate to have had her influence.
Peace be upon her and with you. There's a special place in Heaven for teachers and she's brought some new order to the room.
With my deepest condolences, I remain;
Sincerely;
Robin Duetta |
